About us

AFCI Wants to help you!

We exist to accelerate the spread of the Gospel through local churches worldwide.

We do this through teams of nationals working with and through the local church in their own countries around the world

Your First Priority

Your first priority in life is your own relationship with God. Jesus said that the greatest command in the Bible is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Mark 3:14 tells us that Jesus appointed twelve, so that they would 1) be with him and that he could 2) send them out. Above all else, you and your church must learn to put God at the centre of your life and to grow your relationship with him. AFCI has two resources to help you and your church grow your relationship with God:

Your purpose in the world

Jesus’ purpose in the world hasn’t changed. Only, now he is living out his purpose through you and your church. He said, “The Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.” This is what he wants to do through you and your church. To those who believed in him he said, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” Are you and your church following him in this? As he was ascending to heaven to be with the Father he said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses.” What is the Spirit’s power for? It’s to enable you and your church to live out Jesus’ purpose in this world—to be his witnesses. You don’t have to be an evangelist to be a witness. You can be a witness in your everyday encounters. AFCI has three resources to help you and your church become an effective witness:

Your spiritual influence

You have an influence on the people around you as you live out your purpose in this world, but your spiritual influence can be much larger than your personal contacts! Luke 8:1-3 describes Jesus’ ministry: “He went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him.” The passage goes on to describe another group that was involved—Mary Magdalene, Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager, and Susanna (women who themselves had been deeply impacted by Jesus’ ministry to them). And then this comment: “and many others, who were contributing to their support out of their private means.”

Think of the spiritual influence of these people as they financially supported Jesus’ evangelistic ministry and his training of the twelve to multiply that ministry! Paul likewise writes to the Philippian church and tells them that early in his ministry, “no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only” (Phil 4:15). He talks to them about “your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now” (Phil 1:5).

Likewise, you can greatly expand your spiritual influence beyond your own church and your own relationships by partnering with AFCI in prayer and giving as our team is totally focused on accelerating the spread of the gospel across our nation.
