I want to share a story that I know will encourage you as you continue to pray for and support this ministry. This is the impact you and I are having, together with our team.
One of the things that excites me the most about EvangelismSHIFT is its impact on those who are already in fulltime ministry, leading others, and changing lives. I myself was also a fulltime evangelist working with AFCI when I realised that I was not living as a witness in my personal life. We hear this same story from pastors and missionaries who go through EvangelismSHIFT. They want to lead their church in the life of a witness, but nobody ever showed them how to live that life, yet Jesus’ teaching to his disciples was as much about how to live as how to connect to God. To these people (people like you and me) EvangelismSHIFT is freeing, as they understand how representing Jesus fits into normal life, normal relationships, normal conversations.
Derryl and Kim are seasoned church planters working among Muslims in the Pacific islands. They went through EvangelismSHIFT with a church located a couple of hours from their home. In discussion times they were able to share much from their own experiences. After one of the seminars Derryl commented to me that they were trained in many things for their church planting, but not in the skills of building redemptive relationships with people to lead them to Christ. He and Kim soaked up everything we taught. Praise God that he is working through Derryl and Kim and people are turning to Christ through their redemptive relationships.
Last month Derryl emailed me: “Thank you dear brother. We will never be the same having taken the training you made available to us. May God enable you to continue to train unlimited and countless disciples in these last days. Amen.”
We are so thankful for all of your prayers, your constant encouragement and support.
As you think about your finances this month, would you consider making a special gift to partner with AFCI so that more leaders like Derryl and Kim will be planting churches or leading their churches out of a rich experience of reaching those around them for Christ?
Click the yellow buttons to give today and forward this email to those you know will be encouraged by it! If you can, please consider a monthly gift to support our future growth.
John, for the AFCI team.
