One of our team had come across the Letter to Diognetus, which was written to explain the Christian faith to an enquirer, probably in the second century.

This excerpt from it sparked something in our hearts:

“These Christians know and trust God…They placate those who oppress them and make them their friends, they do good to their enemies…

If they see a stranger they take him to their dwellings and rejoice over him as a real brother.

Oh, how they love one another

Truly this is a new people and there is something divine in them.”

We want to be people like that, don’t you?

Not “Oh, how they judge one another” but “Oh, how they love one another”.

Let’s love each other more today. Let’s love people to Christ.
